“Just a few months ago I discovered that I suffer from MD (at a very advanced stage) in my right eye” Eleonora says. “It is caused by myopia.”
Eleonora has had 3 intravitreal injections so far. She says doctors focus too much of their attention on AMD, and not enough on MD in young people.
“The most difficult thing to accept is that there is no way to escape the disease, I can only get treatment to get a little bit better, but it will be impossible for me to say I recovered from MD. I will never recover from it, and it's not easy when you are just 24 years old and you only have one useful eye.”
