Mr. Curran is the Immediate Past Chairman and international spokesperson of AMD Alliance International.
Don took medical retirement from United Airlines in 2000 due to the onset of wet macular degeneration. At that time he was Vice President based in Hong Kong accountable for United's Pacific Operation. Don also served Vice-Chair and Trustee of the Macular Disease Society, a national charity in the UK. Don has been active with AMDAI since 2003.
Mr. Curran was a member of the American Chamber in Hong Kong and has also chaired and served on many travel and airline committees including PATA, HATA, TICA and BOAR.
Don now lives in the UK with his wife Ruby and enjoys his family, including five grandchildren and despite being registered blind still enjoys his garden and golf, being a member of the Scottish Blind golf society.
