Narinder Sharma is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AMD Alliance International (AMDAI) effective January 2011. Mr. Sharma has held CEO positions since 1992 for a prominent rare disease organization and organizations delivering services to seniors.
During his impressive career, Mr. Sharma also held vice chair and audit chair roles at UK National Health Service (NHS) local trusts. In addition, he chaired a major regeneration agency in his home city of Nottingham. He has been a past board member of EURORDIS based in Paris and a council member of the University of Leicester.
A physicist by training, Mr. Sharma worked at Rolls Royce after doing pure and applied Physics at the University Of Manchester. Mr. Sharma has an MBA from the University of Sheffield, his dissertation being in the locus of decision making in the INGO Oxfam. He has also completed a post graduation diploma in Law from the University of Nottingham.
Kasuko Kamiya serves as AMD Alliance International’s Country Manager in Japan. Headquartered in Tokyo, Kasuko began her career with AMDAI in 2008 working to increase awareness and understanding of macular disease within her country. Like much of the rest of the world, macular disease is on the rise in Japan, making Kasuko’s role with AMDAI critical. Kasuko’s background includes extensive experience in public affairs and corporate internal and external communications.
