Luc Licari is Interim Executive Director of Retina France. Under the leadership of President Jean Jacques Frayssinet, the association has grown from 3500 to over 20,000 active members and is a leader in supporting ophthalmology research in France.
Mr. Licari joined Retina France in 1995 as Director of Communication and Development. In 1999 and 2001, Mr. Licari worked to launch the first of Retina France’s campaigns on AMD awareness.
He began his career in the USA at Wick Builders Company in New Jersey. After returning to France, he joined the communications department of the General Council of Haute Garonne launching the organization’s public health initiatives. He graduated in communication sciences and economics from Toulouse University.
